Planning Staff

Kenneth Poore

Founder and CEO Emeritus of K. W. Poore and Associates, Inc., Ken serves as the firm's Senior Planning Consultant, specializing and directing master planning, community development programs and redevelopment projects throughout the state. He manages the firm's comprehensive planning and design workload, project development, and implementation of various federal and state funding initiatives including CDBG, conducts annexation studies involving expert testimony, and prepares redevelopment and conservation programs under Title 36. Ken holds a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning, is a charter member of the American Planning Association (APA) and the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and is an accomplished artist and designer in various capacities.

Jeremy Latimer

While a graduate student at the University of Virginia, Jeremy interned with the Thomas Jefferson Planning District to perform demographic and spatial analysis on regional, local, and neighborhood study areas. In addition to GIS skills, he has a background in economics, and works on comprehensive plans, economic development plans, strategic plans, and project funding development.

Chad Clinger

Chad holds a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University. His background includes both planning and architecture. Currently, he helps with neighborhood and economic revitalization, including the implementation of CDGB grant projects, urban design, and architectural expertise.

Sam Tuttle

A graduate of Virginia Tech, Sam's previous work experience includes several years as a campus missions intern in Australia and, prior to that, a year with K. W. Poore and Associates as a planning intern. He currently assists with market research, grant application preparation, compliance with federal labor standards, and neighborhood research.
